Python Job: Data Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Data Analyst will lead data analytics across client accounts and support business unit partners in establishing consistent reporting and extracting data driven insights from business systems to enable effective senior management decision making.

The Data Analysts will directly support the engineering accounts in technical statistical analysis and develop in consultation with the leadership team a strategy for establishing effective business wide reporting, analytics and insights.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyse business processes to identify key opportunities for improvement.
• Provide data support to operational deliver oversight and establish a common BI reporting platform/tools.
• Develop and lead the implementation of a smart data analytics and insights across the account.
• In collaboration with the engineering team, perform asset based statistical analysis and modelling.
• Support client reliability programs through data analysis, trending and reporting.
• Provide data sets to support delivery of KPI metrics and reporting.
• Perform deep dives/investigations on data sets and provide outputs to site management.
• Propose options and solutions for streamlining business processes and procedures.
• Develop KPI dashboards to allow for best visualisation of the data to support insightful analysis and allow for well-founded strategies to be presented to the action leaders.

Requirements:

• Min. 3 years data analysis & reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in data querying, data mining, data segmentation.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills and experience in developing calculations to interpret and assess data sets to produce insight.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• 3+ years’ experience using statistical analysis languages (R, Python, etc.).
• Good understanding of database concepts and understanding of structures required.
• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence strategies/design as it relates to Data analysis.
• Experience with one or more BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire.
• Knowledge of APIs desirable.
• Good project management skills; experience managing projects / requests with multiple senior stakeholders.
